More About Us
We are an active and thriving spiritual community made up of people living along the shore of Lake Chapala, located south of Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico. Most of us have migrated from other places in the world, where many of us grew up with or encountered Unitarian Universalism earlier in our lives, while some of us have discovered Unitarian Universalism after moving here.
We are brave, curious, and compassionate thinkers and doers. We are diverse in faith, ethnicity, history and spirituality, but aligned in our desire to make a difference for the good. We have a track record of standing on the side of love, justice and peace.
We are a caring, liberal, open-minded community that encourages you to seek your own spiritual path wherever it leads. If you’re searching for a spiritual home where people respect each other’s different beliefs and come together as one faith, without religious creed or dogma, you can find it here.
We have radical roots and a history as self-motivated spiritual people: we think for ourselves and recognize that life experience influences our beliefs more than anything.

You can find more Information about our acceptance of many beliefs HERE.
We have been on the forefront of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer inclusion for more than 40 years, we are people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. LGBTQ welcoming page.
We welcome you: your whole self, with all your truths and your doubts, your worries and your hopes. Join us on this extraordinary adventure of faith.
